Guest Lecture For A Valuable Closet
2023
Based on the Manifesto for a Valuable Closet, these lectures focus on activating each point to elevate the connection between wearer and garment.
This activation sparks the creativity in each participant.
The workshops are modified according to the needs of the group, but keep their basic structure.
These workshops have been held at:
HoGent Bachelor Fashion Technology, 2 groups of 20 students, April 2023
The goal of the workshop was to challenge the group to understand that as makers they are also wearers and that relationship should always stay connected to their role as maker.
Workshop Sustainability 101
2023
Infiltrating in traditional institutions, this workshop is meant to give an introduction of sustainable fashion practices.
It hopes to inform and inspire people who haven’t come in contact yet with (sustainable) fashion.
Introducing:
- what is fast fashion?
- why is fast fashion harmful to planet and people?
- what does a typical fast fashion supply chain look like?
- how each stakeholder can make a difference
