Fiore Farhand

Fiore Farhand is a Belgian Critical Fashion Practitioner who focusses on how people approach sustainability, and the interactions people have with their wardobes. Fiore believes wardrobes are a great storytelling tool and can tell a lot about someone’s personality and sustainability approach. Taking inspiration from Wardrobe Studies, Fiore prefers to involve people with sustainability and value appreciation through storytelling.

She has a bachelors in Fashion Technology from University College Ghent and a Postgraduate degree in Digital Storytelling from KASK. Today, Fiore is finishing her MA Critical Fashion Practices at ArtEZ (Gen32), where she’s investing in her research abilities and the approachability of her work, since she wants sustainability to be easily digestible.

Fiore has worked with DOEK-vzw on their Collective Wisdom Sessions on Social Washing, with Gent Fair Trade on the 2022 and 2024 Fair Fashion Fest and with COSH!. A few of Fiore’s projects are the Podcast Closet Stories, a Manifesto for a Valuable Closet and an exposé on Nike’s greenwashing practices called Just Publish It.

In the coming months Fiore will give several workshops as a framework for Fair Fashion Fest Ghent to gain awareness on sustainability, shame, and ways to increase the value of our closets. Furthermore she will continue to investigate green claims by fashion brands.

This website is just a collection of examples of Fiore’s work, she continues to be interested in anything related to sustainable fashion and find ways to contribute to society.
